Mirrored

What is it like to encounter a work that incorporates parts of the spectators' identities? 'Mirrored' is an interactive installation combining the use of reflective surfaces with a self-adapting feedback-system. It not only captures its audio-visual surroundings but seems to play its own games with it.

Every audible event becomes captured and played back into the same room thus establishing a loop, which not only transforms the sound but also affects visual perception: from time to time, the large mirror-like objects begin to vibrate – and therefore to distort every image depicted on their surface. Whoever might be present will watch their hazy silhouette being shaken and bent.

'Mirrored' explores the relations between control, uncertainty and audience involvement. It is a 6-channel-piece that is composed in real-time.
